School Superintendent Roelle speaks at Chamber Meeting
Nov. 28th, 2005 Dr. Robert Roelle was the guest speaker at November's Chamber meeting.
He manages an annual budget of $84 million, which is used to educate 4,200 students, up from 3,000 in 1992.
Dr. Roelle states that 80% of his budget goes to paying the 360 teachers and the cafeteria workers, aides and administrators
who make up the rest of the staff.

Chamber Donates $2500 for Katrina relief
The Ossining Chamber of Commerces Noshing Night, held last month,
was such a huge success, we've decided to
give part of the proceeds from that event toward the month long
community wide "Katrina Relief" fundraising efforts spearheaded by the Rotary Club of Ossining.
Over 18 different local organizations participated in these efforts.

United States Judge Charles Brieant, a native of Ossining and fomer Town Supervisor, gave
his nuanced and extroardinarily perceptive views on a number of issues before the courts today. He also
spoke briefly and modestly about his experiences Town Supervisor.
